Kitewood in Uganda

The Directors of the Kitewood Group have targeted Uganda as an area of huge potential and economic growth following twenty years of political stability. In 2007 an office was opened in Kampala, which concentrates on residential and commercial developments in the city and the peninsula linking Kampala to Entebbe International Airport.

Residential properties in development range from modern affordable apartments which will help address the current chronic shortage of this type of housing in Uganda, through to high quality apartments for the higher-end private and corporate letting market.

Commercially, KBUD is currently working to identify land suitable for developing offices and small industrial parks.

The singularly unusual aspect of this Kitewood satellite company is the reinvestment of all profits (other than the element of the profits distributed to a local charity, BSUF) into the expansion of this company for the employment of a broad range of local people embodying all disciplines involved in the development process. This company will provide a non-charitable post-education opportunity for ambitious Ugandans.
