Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement

As a responsible member of the community, corporate social responsibility is consistant with the Kitewood Group's company values.

We recognise that property development impacts on the environment, local communities and neighbourhoods.  At appropriate stages of the development process we involve local groups and individuals, holding public exhibitions to discuss our plans and generate ideas for improvements.  We work with individuals, local groups and Councils to add value to the community.  Where appropriate, we provide community infrastructure enhancements including; contributions to educational facilities, providing new children’s play areas and open spaces.

We are committed to continual learning, improvement and increasing levels of community commitment and contribution.

Environmental Policy

The Group recognises its responsibility to assess the consequences of it’s business operations on the environment and mitigate this wherever possible. We intend to remain ahead of the industries' move towards zero carbon emissions.

Kitewood has adopted the image of a Painted Lady Butterfly resting on a Shasta Daisy as it’s corporate image to reflect the Group’s understanding of the sensitivity needed to keep an ecological balance.

We strive to exceed the statutory requirements. As a current measure of performance we require our buildings to score BREEAM level 3-4 and will regularly review our targets as new policy emerges.

Social Responsibility

The majority of Kitewood’s operation is based in the UK where we promote mixed private and affordable schemes in line with current Government guidelines, promoting social and cultural integration. 

Kitewood now has an office in Kampala, Uganda, where a share of the profits are to be distributed to a local charity Buyemba Suubira Ugandan Foundation (BSUF), which again underlines our corporate commitment to being a contributing member of society.
