News1st August 2008 Altira Business Park in Herne Bay wins Planning Appeal to build a hotel and restaurant
Kitewood the Kent based property developers have this week won an appeal decision to build a new 50 room Premier Travel Inn and Brewers Fayre family restaurant on Altira Business Park in Herne Bay, Kent. Joe Crawley, Kitewood’s Managing Director said “We have commenced building Altira Business Park this year and are thrilled with this decision. The Whitbread hotel and restaurant will play a crucial role in providing leisure facilities for our occupiers on the business park. We welcome this decision from Canterbury Council and look forward to continuing with our build programme for Altira Business Park, which is attracting new interest every week. In addition to Whitbread we will be making announcements of other new occupiers next month!” |

Environmental Policy
The Group recognises its responsibility to assess the consequences of it’s business operations on the environment and mitigate this wherever possible. We intend to remain ahead of the industries' move towards zero carbon emissions.
Kitewood has adopted the image of a Painted Lady Butterfly resting on a Shasta Daisy as it’s corporate image to reflect the Group’s understanding of the sensitivity needed to keep an ecological balance.
We strive to exceed the statutory requirements. As a current measure of performance we require our buildings to score BREEAM level 3-4 and will regularly review our targets as new policy emerges.
Social Responsibility
The majority of Kitewood’s operation is based in the UK where we promote mixed private and affordable schemes in line with current Government guidelines, promoting social and cultural integration.
Kitewood now has an office in Kampala, Uganda, where a share of the profits are to be distributed to a local charity Buyemba Suubira Ugandan Foundation (BSUF), which again underlines our corporate commitment to being a contributing member of society.
